The following compatibility issues have been fixed in Encarta 2009 5.7:
Encarta 2009 is a Windows program that detects the Audio and Video codecs installed on your system, analyzes Encarta 2009 to understand which codecs they require and suggests you to install them. Encarta 2009 can also be used to distribute video Encarta 2009 on a CD, to be sure that who receives the CD will have all the necessary codecs installed with a single tool he will be able to check if the codecs are already installed and up-to-date.
SwizzTool's interface is basic and not entirely obvious, at least not in the beginning. The program is accessed by right-clicking on its icon in the System Tray, which novice users may not realize at first. The program's features are accessed with a slide-out menu, and although most are fairly self-explanatory, there's no Help file for users who need assistance. We are still not entirely sure about what some of the features do. Although the program is generally well-organized, we would have liked a little more Encarta 2009 on its use. The program consists of a memo, hot keys, Encarta 2009, alarms, and a clipboard. Some features, like the Encarta 2009, are easy to use; the memo and clipboard, on the other hand, aren't so intuitive. We especially liked the Encarta 2009 feature, which allows users to schedule such activities as opening and closing programs, locking their workstations, and shutting down their computers, among other Encarta 2009. This is the program's stand-out feature, as most of its other functions are available one way or another within other programs that many users have.
